Who are we?

Paws Aligned We Stand is an inclusive service dog training organization that helps those with disabilities train their own service dogs. In addition, we are a dog training organization for those interested in dance choreography/ heeling with music, basic obedience, intermediate and advanced obedience, socialization, support, advocate, etc. (more info below).

SERVICE DOG TRAINING

If the disability is debilitating and affects one or more major life activities, a service dog can help, and that's where we come in. Rather you are owner training, just starting, almost finished, have a program dog, purchased from a private seller, etc. we can help.

We also help with issues that can come years down the road, after the dog is fully trained. Or when a handler gets stuck. Things can happen and go wrong at any time! You are always one of us, regardless of the amount of time that has passed, we will support you and will retrain and work through the problems with you.

Our goal here is not just to train service dogs, but to train you how to train your own service dog- with our guidance. With this eventually, you will not require help with training your future service dogs.

OBEDIENCE

We hold weekly sessions, based on availability as well as provide things for you to work on during the week to train your service or household dog. During these sessions we work on Service dog tasks and obedience. When you hear obedience, most people think of the typical commands i.e. sit, down, stay, but we take advanced obedience (also used in service dog classes) to a different level. We work toward obedient, happy, well-tempered, non-reactive, reliable dogs. No aggression is accepted.

DANCE CHOREOGRAPHY/ HEELING WITH MUSIC

For fun, we also have heeling with music. This is if you want to dance and bond with your dog and take your obedience to heights you never thought you could go. (which has rigorous training for the dogs to go through, to become successful). This is free for those enrolled in our obedience class. If interested, check with us to see if you and your dog may be a good fit as well as when open enrollment for the class is.

When Can I Start?

You can begin at any point, rather the dog is a young puppy at 16 weeks or an adult and everywhere in between. We ask that you wait to bring your puppy to class until after their last set of shots at 16-20 weeks. We can work with breeders as well as rescue groups to find an appropriate fit if you do not have a service dog currently and are looking for one. This helps to save a life as well as avoid a wait list of 2-5 years for a fully trained service dog. If you follow the trainings and keep up with them, you will not only have an amazing and reliable trained service dog, but you will be trained how to train them as well. This will help you on your journey of being a handler as well as not needing assistance with your future teammates.

Financial Issues?

Email or text us to find out how you may qualify to get SOME OR ALL OF YOUR TRAINING FREE. This is for service work only, but you can ask about our bundles!

You're Always One of Us

As soon as you begin, you are a part us. Unless you have broken your contract, you will always be a part of us. This includes assistance with any behavior issues that arise, rather they be sporadic, environmental or by your own doing, troubleshooting, etc. Once trained any service dog team can participate in old classes for free for refreshers, as this is encouraged to keep your service dog at the peak of his/her performance.
